About the Wankdorf Stadium

The Wankdorf Stadium (formerly Stade de Suisse), home of the Bernese football club  BSC Young Boys (for short: YB) was initially founded in 1925. Undergoing a first renovation in 1951, it was completely renovated and modernised between 2001 and 2005, now having a capacity of up to 32'000 visitors. Apart from football matches, it is often venue for concerts and other large-scale events. The various lounges of the stadium are well-suited for a variety of smaller events such as conventions, corporate meetings and national or international congresses.

The so-called  Miracle of Bern of the FIFA World Cup 1954 took place in this stadium.
